Analytical Investigation of Viscoelastic Stagnation-Point Flows with Regard to Their Singularity

Singularities in the stress field of stagnation-point flow a viscoelastic fluid have been studied for various constitutive models. Analyzing analytical solutions these models is most effective way to study this problem. In paper, exact two-dimensional steady wall-free flows generic Oldroyd 8-constant model are obtained using different material parameter relations. For all solutions, compatibility with conservation momentum considered our analysis. The resulting usually contain arbitrary functions, whose choice has crucial effect on distribution. corresponding singularities discussed detail according choices functions. results can be used analyze distribution and singularity behavior wide spectrum derived from model. Many previous simple reproduced as special cases. Some conclusions amended new drawn. particular, we find that near stagnation point them avoided by appropriately choosing parameters free addition, solution tensor near-wall Oldroyd-B also obtained. Its identified, which allow non-singular solution.
